All women are invited to join Herndon UMC's United Methodist Women (UMW) on Saturday, February 22 for a program with Cornerstones. Cornerstones is a local nonprofit organization that promotes self-sufficiency by providing support and advocacy for those in need of food, shelter, affordable housing, quality childcare, and other human services. The guest speakers are Kerrie Wilson, CEO of Cornerstones and Susan Alger, Director of Volunteer and Community Engagement.
There will be a continental breakfast in the welcome area outside of the Sanctuary starting at 8:30am. The program will begin at 9:00am.
Childcare will be available. All women are welcome.
Herndon's UMW wants to help support Cornerstones as well as learn more about how it helps those in need in our community. UMW will collect donations of sweatpants and sweatshirts (size adult small to adult 4XL), thermal tops and bottoms (size adult small to adult 4XL), kitchen utensils, and full-size toiletries, or cash, gift cards, and checks payable to HUMW (please note that the check is for Cornerstones).
