Jonathan and Kelly Page are so excited to serve alongside the great people of Herndon UMC beginning July 1! Jonathan will be the new Senior Pastor. He comes from an extensive church background, having grown up at Haygood UMC in Virginia Beach, served as a Youth and Children's Director at Francis Asbury UMC in Virginia Beach, completed pastoral internships at churches in North Carolina, and served as Associate Pastor at St. Andrew's UMC in Virginia Beach. Most recently, Jonathan served as the Lead Pastor at Fieldstone UMC in the New River Valley of Virginia. Jonathan studied Spanish at Christopher Newport University and received his Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School, where he may have learned as much about basketball as he learned about theology. In addition to serving the local church, Jonathan is the co-chair of the Five Talent Academy and serves on the Common Table for Church Vitality as a part of connectional ministry within the Virginia Conference.

Kelly is an educator who has served diverse communities in North Carolina and Virginia. Having worked in middle and high school settings, Kelly specializes in special education and reading education. Most recently, she has been a teacher at the New River Valley Juvenile Detention Home. She is looking forward to taking her experience and skills to South Lakes High School in Reston this fall, where she will start work as a teacher. Kelly graduated with a bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University, a master's degree from Regent University, and will soon complete her Ed.S. in School Administration from Virginia Tech. Originally from Poquoson, VA, Kelly has been a life-long Methodist who has been able to do a lot of work with youth ministry and missions, and she cares passionately for the littlest ones in church communities.

Jonathan and Kelly will be bringing their three "fur babies" to the HUMC parsonage in late June. Scotty, Winnie, and Emmet make for an eventful life indoors, though all three would prefer to be outside. They are both "foodies" who love to explore other cultures through cuisine and beverage. Jonathan is an avid sports fan, supporting Atlanta teams like the Braves (baseball), Falcons (football), and United (soccer), as well as Duke in college athletics. Kelly is a crafty person who enjoys creating new things in her spare time.

They both love Jesus and are excited to fall in love with the great people at Herndon UMC!
