Groups Serving Others

Whether we are working locally or globally, Herndon UMC believes that we can make a difference in the lives of others. In turn, we gain so much from the experience. Here are just some of our partnerships, locally and globally.

Herndon UMC's Neighbors In Need Ministry will be collecting food items and cash to purchase the supplies needed to pack 200 food bags for distribution at Dranesville Elementary School on both September 29 and October 5. These bags are sent home on Friday afternoons to feed students that otherwise may not have food for the weekend.  There are 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, 2 drinks and 2 snacks included in each food bag.

Please sign up on SignUpgenius with the items you will donate.  Food and drinks will be collected through September 24.

Anyone interested in helping to pack the food bags on should come to the large kitchen on Wednesday, September 27 at 1pm and Thursday, October 5 at 11am. You can sign up here for one of the two dates.
