Save the dates, January 7 and 8!
Celebrate Epiphany* with Herndon UMC as we present four performances of Gian Carlo Menotti’s beloved classic, “Amahl and the Night Visitors”. A giant star appears in the sky, and then a knock on the door. Amahl answers, and suddenly the Three Wise Men are in his living room! Featuring local performers, a full choir, and a chamber ensemble, this 45-minute opera will charm your heart. Presented in English with surtitles. Free admission with donations gladly accepted.
All ages and abilities are welcome at every performance.
Special activities for children begin 15 minutes before each performance, and an opportunity to take a picture with kings follows the end of each show. Surtitles will be projected. Performances will be held in Herndon UMC’s Doe Fellowship Hall.
Saturday, January 7 at 4 pm
Please note: for this performance only the accessible environment will include silent applause (no clapping), lights on during the performance in the audience seating area, and movement and noises are welcome from audience members.
