Rise Against Hunger
Herndon UMC held a food packing event for Rise Against Hunger in 2019. Unable to hold an in-person event in 2020, we gave financial support. We are looking forward to when we will be able to offer another, in-person food packing event. It was wonderful to have friends and family working together to share God’s love with neighbors around the globe.

We’ve all had to find silver linings during the past year of the pandemic, and this year’s Spring Mission Concert will be a fully virtual performance celebrating the ways that music continues to reach our church family and our community, despite the many challenges faced along the way!
Spring Mission Concert on YouTube
Herndon UMC music groups, singers, and instrumentalists will present a variety of music ranging from classical to original compositions. The event premiered on Sunday, May 2 on YouTube at 7 pm. There is a program here to the right (or below). You may download the program (pdf) here.
It is a mission concert, which would normally include dinner. So we’re making this a dinnerless dinner. Everyone is encouraged to make a donation to benefit Rise Against Hunger in the amount that you might spend on your dinner. The mission of Rise Against Hunger is to end hunger by 2030.
