Stew Day is November 4.
This annual Herndon UMC tradition helps draw us together as a community; both as a community of faith and a community of families that appreciate the power of a food like Brunswick Stew to help us rejoice in the season and come together to enjoy a meal that was made with love and a desire to serve.
You can be a part of this Spirit-filled enterprise.
– Donate food or money. There is a list of canned goods needed. Check the list and sign up through the button below. Or you may choose to donate money to help buy ingredients. All the usual channels work–check (made to HUMM), Pushpay, Paypal, or leaving it in an envelope in the offering plate. Please mark the donation “UMM Stew”.
– Purchase stew for yourself or for others, friends, and neighbors, who might need a meal. New this year, there is also an opportunity to purchase stew for LINK Against Hunger. Pre-ordering is best: bit.ly/orderstew2023.
– Spread the word. Share this post and invite others to participate in the stew purchase or to contribute.
Herndon’s United Methodist Men, also invite others to help prepare ingredients and cook the stew. Contact men@herndonumc.org for more information.
