“Why does God seem different in the Old and New Testaments?” — Worship premiering January 3

Dec 31, 2020 | Worship

Herndon UMC begins a new sermon series with a worship experience premiering on Sunday, January 3 at 10 am.  Listen as Pastor Jonathan contemplates the question “Why does God seem different in the Old and New Testaments?”  Questions for this series were gathered from the Herndon UMC community during Advent. This service is available here on the website, through the Herndon UMC YouTube channel, and on Herndon UMC’s Facebook page.

HUMC KIDS is a little different this week. KIDS and their families can tune in to a very special Bible InFUSION Zoom this Sunday, January 3 at 11 am! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to look at God’s appearance? Moses is the only one who got a glimpse…To find out more, grab your Bible, a flashlight, and blanket, and connect to the Zoom by going to bit.ly/bible-jan3. Learn more about KIDS FUSION here on herndonumc.org.  You can always view past videos posted on our YouTube channel HUMC KIDS playlist.

Please let us know if you are worshiping with us, who is there worshiping with you, and where you are.  This can be done in the stream chat and comments, or by email to office@herndonumc.org. If you are new, please let us know by emailing welcome@herndonumc.org We would love to send you a gift card to one of our favorite local coffee spots.  Anyone looking to get more connected or for more information about Herndon UMC, should email to welcome@herndonumc.org or complete this online form.

Worshipers are also encouraged to participate.  Each week worship participants are asked to gather a candle and a symbol for worshiping from home.  No matter where you are, please add your voice to prayers and songs and stand as you are able.  There is a bulletin to help you experience worship.  It includes the week’s announcements, links, ongoing prayer concerns, and the order of worship.

As always, we want to stay connected and are a community of prayer.  Glory sightings and prayer concerns may be shared in the video chats, through this online form, or by email to prayerchain@herndonumc.org.
