You are invited into this worship experience for the week of Sunday,
As we conclude our “Hope Over Fear” series, we turn our focus to a fear that is persistent across ages, races, gender identities, socioeconomic statuses, and any other segmentation of our culture: the fear of failure. Especially in Northern Virginia, the strive to achieve outpaces almost every other element of life. Failure is not an option…but what if it was? What if our identity was not centered on our accomplishments but our being? What if failure could be a gateway to a greater understanding of God’s love and grace? This weekend, we’ll turn to Romans 5 and discover why failure isn’t something to be scared of; rather, it’s something to be embraced.
Failure, while uncomfortable and uprooting, can be a gateway to better understanding of self, community, grace, and love.
No matter where you worship from, you are encouraged to add your voice to prayers and songs and stand as you are able. There is a Bulletin to help you experience worship. It includes links and information to help you be connected at Herndon UMC along with the order of worship.
Nursery care is available for infants and young children during the Sunday worship services. If you have questions about the Nursery, contact email@example.com.
KIDSClub for preschool through 6th grade will take place Sunday afternoon at 1pm via Zoom. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and the Zoom link.
As always, we want to stay connected and are a community of prayer. Glory sightings and prayer concerns may be shared by text, in the chat, through this online form, or at any time by email to email@example.com.
