May 16 Worship – Spring Training (Week 6): “Living Freely”

May 13, 2021 | Worship

You are invited into this worship experience which premieres on Sunday, May 16 at 10 am.

Over the course of the “Spring Training” series, we’ve been thinking about what a spiritually disciplined life might look like. Living freely the life of spiritual discipline requires us to make a commitment to what we might take on as the intentional way we will choose to follow Christ in our daily personal and communal life. We will take the opportunity this weekend to make a commitment to some kind of spiritual discipline and envision how we might live all of this out as a church family.

You are encouraged to add your voice to prayers and songs and stand as you are able.  There is a bulletin linked below to help you experience worship.  It includes links and information to help you be connected at Herndon UMC along with the order of worship.  As always, we want to stay connected and are a community of prayer.  Glory sightings and prayer concerns may be shared by text, in the chat, through this online form, or anytime by email to prayerchain@herndonumc.org.

Anyone new or looking to get more connected or learn more about Herndon UMC is invited to email welcome@herndonumc.org or complete this online form

Fighting Hunger

Rise Against Hunger

The mission of Rise Against Hunger is to end global hunger by 2030.  Herndon UMC supported this mission with a food packing event in 2019, and we look forward to being able to come together to do so again.  This is a great opportunity to work in community to share God’s love with our neighbors in another part of the world.

Our current mission focus is on Rise Against Hunger.

Your donations support Herndon UMC’s mission to serve and share God’s love in community.  Donations may be given online via Pushpay.com/g/herndonumc, through PayPal.me/herndonumc, through the Herndon UMC app, or maybe mailed to Herndon UMC at 701 Bennett Street, Herndon, VA 20170.  If you need pre-addressed envelopes, please contact julie@herndonumc.org.

And there’s more for this week…

HUMC KIDS offers a Bible InFusion video (available starting at 08:30 am on May 15) for kids age 3 through grade 6 and Zoom meetings with creative activities.  Learn more about KIDS FUSION here on herndonumc.org.  You can always view past videos posted on our YouTube channel HUMC KIDS playlist

Want more worship music?  Each week, there is a playlist on YouTube of additional worship music following the week’s theme.  There are usually five traditional and five modern songs on the playlist.

The mission of Herndon UMC is to serve and share God’s Love in community.

The vision of Herndon UMC is to live the teachings of Jesus so that everyone may know God’s Love and grow in Spirit-filled relationships.
