HHS Madrigals and students from HHS instrumental groups will perform a benefit concert in the Herndon UMC Sanctuary. Donations made at the concert will go to support a Rise Against Hunger food packing event at Herndon High School in the Spring of 2023.
Sign up now! Music available around Thanksgiving. Middle and high school instrumentalists along with adults from the community provide Christmas music for the 10am worship service. Herndon UMC Music Ministry presents Virginia Bronze, Northern Virginia’s premiere handbell ensemble in a concert of unpublished works by today’s handbell composers. Tickets will be available at the door and are priced at $25 for adults and $15 for students with valid ID. Bring food for the reception after the concert and get free admission.
Singers and instrumentalists of all ages will provide solo and small ensemble music for a concert based on themes of hope and resilience to promote mental health awareness and support the free resources NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) provides to individuals and families facing mental health challenges in our local community. Singers can sign up to participate in the Rise Up! Choir, a multigenerational vocal group that performs in the concert. Rise Up! Choir rehearsals will be held at 7pm on Wednesday evenings beginning in mid-March.
REHERSALS START 11/16. Singers and instrumentalists from throughout our community are invited to participate in this wonderful musical production. The shows will be around Ephiphany, 1/7-8/2023. There are other ways to get involved too. Learn more here.
If you sing in your school choir, acapella group, or just love singing in the shower, you’re invited to be a part of a small youth vocal ensemble that will share a song in worship at the 10am service on 10/16. This will be a low-key, low-time commitment pop-up group with only a few 30 minute rehearsals happening right after youth group on 10/2 and 10/9 from 12:30 – 1pm.
