Herndon UMC would not be able to support the many missions and ministries that it does without the generosity of our church community. Everyone is encouraged to share their time, talents and treasure. Want to develop a new skill, like working on web pages or speaking in public, let us know. Opportunities abound!
Financial Giving
Herndon UMC benefits from a diverse community and recognizes that diversity means we need to respond with many ways to communicate and to give. So, there are many options for giving to Herndon UMC. Most are listed below. If you have questions about ways to give, designated giving or need assistance in setting up or modifying your account, please contact our Treasurer (treasurer@herndonumc.org) or Business Manager (julie@herndonumc.org).
Giving in Worship/Giving Envelopes
An offering plate is passed around at each regular worship service. If you choose, checks or cash may be placed in the offering plate. Checks may be made out to “HUMC“.
Herndon UMC provides envelopes to help protect your privacy, to help you clearly specify donation designations and to help our volunteers to correctly record and credit donations. There are envelopes available in the attendance pads and from the ushers. At any time, if you would like a stack of envelopes (i.e. weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.) Please let the Julie Albanus (julie@herndonumc.org) know or ask in the office.
Giving through Your Bank
A number of givers choose to make or schedule donations through their own banks. This utilizes the online bill pay system of their bank. To do so, you will likely need to know Herndon UMC’s address and phone number.

Giving Online (through PushPay)
For those desiring to use credit cards or ACH, Herndon UMC uses a vendor service to ensure the security of your financial data. With PushPay, it is easy walk through the steps needed to make your first donation. You then may use the service for any number of giving opportunities or to set up recurring donations. You can access PushPay at any time through PushPay.com/g/herndonumc or by texting “herndonumc” to 77977.
Giving Online (through PayPal)
For those desiring to use PayPal, Herndon UMC also offers this option. You can access PayPal giving at any time through paypal.me/herndonumc.

For those desiring to use their cell phones, PushPay will also accept donations when you text “herndonumc” to 77977. It walks you through steps similar to online giving, but in a mobile friendly format.
